ESL have revealed that they have adjusted their map pool, replacing Cobblestone with Dust2 at their future events, starting with IEM Sydney and ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals.
In an update titled "Smoke Mid Every Day" released on April 20, Dust2 was added to the Active Duty map pool, with Cobblestone being moved to the Defusal Group Delta.
ESL adjusted map pools at their events with immediate effect, with the first offline tournament featuring Dust2 instead of Cobblestone set to be IEM Sydney, which begins on May 1.
Their following large-scale tournament, ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals, whose online portion is still underway, will also feature the new map pool.
With ESL spearheading the transition, more tournament organizers are expected to follow. DreamHack and Starladder, who will also run their next tournaments in May, have yet to comment on the matter.
